CON Public Notice

UConn Health Community Network, Bristol Hospital and Health Care Group, Inc. and Day Kimball Healthcare Foundation, Inc.

Pursuant to Section 19a-638 of the Connecticut General Statutes, UConn Health Community System, Inc. will submit the following project for review and approval through the Certificate of Need (“CON”) Application Process:

Applicant: UConn Health Community System, Inc. (d/b/a UConn Health Community Network)

Proposal: The Applicant will file CON Application materials with the State of Connecticut Office of Health Strategy for the approval of the integration into the UConn Health Community Network of (1) Bristol Hospital and certain affiliated entities, and (2) Day Kimball Hospital and certain affiliated entities. If the CON Application is approved, (A) Bristol Hospital and Health Care Group, Inc. and Day Kimball Healthcare Foundation, Inc. will become members of UConn Health Community Network and (B) Bristol Hospital and Day Kimball Hospital will become part of UConn Health Community Network’s health system along with UConn Health Waterbury Hospital. Both Bristol Hospital and Day Kimball Hospital will continue to furnish health care services in their current locations/communities and through their current providers and staff, with investment and support from the UConn Health Community Network.
