  • Updating Your Auto Pay Method

6 Steps to Update Auto Pay for Your Payment Plan in MyChart

    1. Go to Billing Summary. Click on Manage Payment Plan.

It’s a digital medical billing summary showing the amount due for the payment plan, with an option to make a payment. The screen displays the next scheduled auto‑payment, options to manage the plan, and links for viewing statements, financial assistance, and payment methods.

    2. Click the Review Payment Method button at the bottom of the screen.

This image shows a webpage for updating a payment plan, summarizing the current setup with automatic monthly payments toward a balance, showing the number of payments remaining, and the date when the payment will be drafted from a saved credit card. There are form fields to change the monthly amount and payment date, with buttons at the bottom to review the payment method or cancel.

    3. Click the New Payment Method option and then click the Add Credit/Debit Card option.

This screen shows an “Update Payment Plan” page where the user is choosing how to pay, with a radio button selected for “New Payment Method” instead of a saved credit card. Below, a payment method panel lets the user add a new credit or debit card or add a bank account before submitting the payment.

    4. Enter ALL of the required card details that appear when selecting the credit/debit card payment method.

This image shows a “Payment Method” section where the option to add a credit or debit card is selected. Including form fields to enter the name on the card and the card number, along with logos indicating accepted card types like Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

    5. At the bottom of the form, the new payment method name is a link where a patient can enter a nickname for the card by clicking on the link. Once the nickname is added or the information is complete, click the SUBMIT button.

This image shows the bottom of a payment form with a checked option to save the entered Mastercard to the user’s digital wallet, and an unselected option to add a bank account instead. To the right is a prominent “Submit” button used to finalize and send the payment information.

    6. The new information is displayed on the screen. Click the Update Plan button to complete the change.

This screen is a confirmation page summarizing a payment plan, stating the amount that will be paid each month toward a balance, when the first payment is due and when automatic monthly payments will continue to using a saved credit card. At the bottom are action buttons to finalize the plan, change the payment method, or cancel.

The screen will then show the updated payment plan information.

This is a confirmation screen indicating that the automatic payment plan has been successfully updated, shown by a checkmark and confirmation message at the top. It summarizes the amount that will be paid monthly and specifies the balance, when payments will start and on what date the automatic payments will be made each month using a saved credit card.
