Support Services
Supportive Services helps our patients in finding resources, services, and information that may help or support them during their cancer journey. Some of the services offered include, but are not limited to, the following:
Road to Recovery Transportation Service
Transportation provided to necessary treatment appointments
Free Cosmetology Services for Cancer Survivors
Look Good Feel Better is a free program to help improve the self-image and self-esteem of women experiencing appearance-related side effects from cancer treatment.
During this hand-on workshop, a trained volunteer certified cosmetologist will offer self-help instruction and education on:
- Hairstyling and coping with hair loss
- Skin care
- Make-up
- Nail care
- Wigs, turbans and scarves
Classes are offered monthly, generally on the third Tuesday, 1 to 3 p.m., Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, UConn Health.
Registration is required.
Call 800-227-2345 with your name, program date, phone number, and skin tone for make-up kits. Kits are available in light, medium, dark and extra dark.

UConn Health partners with companies to provide cancer patients with resources.

One-to-one support for women with breast cancer
