ConnectiCare and UnitedHealthcare Agreements
UConn Health reached new multi-year agreements with ConnectiCare and UnitedHealthcare that appropriately reflect the true cost of delivering high-quality care to the people of Connecticut. As a result of these agreements, ConnectiCare and UnitedHealthcare members can continue to see their trusted UConn Health providers and receive care at UConn John Dempsey Hospital, as they normally would. As Connecticut’s only public academic medical center, UConn Health plays a critical role in caring for patients across the state, training the next generation of healthcare professionals, advancing research, and serving as a safety net for our communities. These agreements recognize the value of that mission and the importance of sustaining it on behalf of Connecticut taxpayers.

Adult Ambulatory Care Unit (AACU) Infusion Center
The Adult Ambulatory Care Unit (AACU) Infusion Center relocated to a new, expanded location. While the location changed, our commitment to patient care remains the same, and they can continue to expect:

• The Same Trusted Team: You will see the same familiar faces and receive the same high-quality care from our dedicated staff. We are also welcoming additional team members to further expand our services.
• Expanded Capacity: Our larger space allows for increased chair availability and may provide more flexibility in scheduling.

We are incredibly proud of this expansion and look forward to continuing to provide patients with exceptional infusion-based care at our new location.

UConn Health has been designated an Age-Friendly Health System. The University of Connecticut was accepted into the Age-Friendly University Global Network. Our Emergency Department has received Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians.
