“Over the next 3 years, UConn Health will become a financially thriving, statewide academic medical center, increasingly relevant to our state and communities, known for clinical excellence, considered the employer of choice for healthcare professionals, and accorded national stature for education and translational and clinical research.”
– Dr. Andrew Agwunobi, Chief Executive Officer for UConn Health and UConn Health Community Network
Our strategic planning began with 16 clinical departments working together to surface, vet, and present ideas that could meet 5 goals focused on:
- Enhancing and growing the services that currently distinguish UConn Health;
- Leveraging innovation and technology to improve patient care and operational efficiencies; and
- Pursuing partnerships and organic growth opportunities to build access and scale.
During the planning process, strategic initiatives aligned with the goals were also added. This site will communicate our goals and the progress underway to achieve the initiatives identified as critical to enabling UConn Health to meet its objectives.
