About Me

I am a Professor of Medicine and Clinical Director, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Director for Osteoporosis Clinic, UConn Health. I am a practicing endocrinologist with special interest and expertise in osteoporosis and bone health. My clinical training is in Endocrinology and Metabolism, and I have done clinical research fellowship in Hypertension at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and in Women's Health at UConn Health, Farmington.  My research interests include bone health and osteoporosis, gender biology and hypertension and I have been involved in patient-oriented research. I am actively involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows, and serve as the Director of Ambulatory Medicine Clerkship, UConn School of Medicine, in addition to serving as key clinical faculty for the endocrine fellowship program. I specialize in the management of patients with metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis, parathyroid disorders, diabetes, thyroid and pituitary disorders, and women's health issues. My clinical experience and training provide me with special insight into women's health problems.
