Though I am confident in Dr. Kim's knowledge, at our initial visit, I didn't feel that she was addressing me directly but rather directed her attention to my husband. This may well be because of my hearing loss, which we did share with her initially. But that could be easily resolved by speaking with me slowly and directly. My husband was there to provide background specifics to my situation, but he was not the patient of record.
