UConn Health has a rich tradition of excellence in musculoskeletal research. Our national and international scientists and clinicians in the UConn Musculoskeletal Institute pursue research in a variety of areas including bone repair, osteoporosis, cartilage metabolism, soft tissue repair, stem cell therapies, tissue engineering, and more. We collaborate with scientists in the medical and dental schools to study the development, repair, and response to new treatment strategies in bone and cartilage repair. Our clinicians also participate in clinical trials and prospective studies to develop new treatment modalities and assess our present treatment regimes.
